The ACLU Will Have Something To Say About This

I have news for you if you happen to live in Jakarta and own a body part that — for the purposes of maintaining my “PG” WordPress rating — we will refer to as

Fly the friendly skies

an ‘airplane’.  Apparently, your ‘airplane”s constitutional rights are being violated.  At least, they would be if it was flying in U.S. airspace, so to speak.  This is the kind of thing that gets Ron Kuby’s kilt in a twist.

In Jakarta, however, the police department has come up with what is perhaps the best job application question ever. If you have taken steps to… uh… to… convert your Cessna into a 747, say, it is perfectly legal for them to deny you a job on their force.

I, for one, am just glad that I’m not the one doing the job interviews.
